A visit to the Blue Lagoon Iceland geothermal spa is an important part of your stay in Iceland. Guests renew their relationship with nature, soak up the scenic beauty and enjoy breathing the clean, fresh air while relaxing in the warm geothermal seawater.

It is no surprise that the readers of “Conde Nast Traveler” voted Blue Lagoon as the best medical spa worldwide. For five consecutive years Blue Lagoon has been awarded the Blue Flag environmental recognition granted to natural beaches and marinas.

Your booking includes transportation from / to hotel.                       

Entrance fees is Euros 29.00 (to be paid locally)

Upon arrival at The Blue Lagoon you will receive a bracelet that acts as a key for your personal locker. You can use this bracelet to charge drinks and refreshments during your stay so you won't have to carry money with you. The maximum charge per bracelet is ISK 5.000 and is payable upon departure. (approximately $50.00)

Day 3

Hotel pick up will commence approximately 30 to 60 minutes prior to tour departure.

Start by visiting Nesjavellir, a high temperature geothermal area in the scenic landscape of Lake Þingvallavatn. From there proceed to the Þingvellir National Park, where the Icelandic parliament Alþingi was founded in the year 930 AD. Þingvellir is geologically remarkable and the tectonic plate boundaries form a breath taking scenery. Continue to the beautiful waterfall Gullfoss, where we can walk so close to the edge that we might feel the mist of the glacial water on our faces.

Lunch break is usually at the Gullfoss Cafe. Sometimes also stop for lunch at the Information Center at the geothermal area around Geysir.

Journey towards the geothermal area around the incredible spouting hot springs of Geysir and Strokkur. Proceed to Skálholt church, the ancient seat of the Icelandic bishops. From there travel towards Hveragerði, a small and charming horticultural village.

Due to weather and road conditions we cannot guarantee visits to Nesjavellir in the winter season. We usually visit Hellisheidi power plant instead, but because the visitors center has been closed until further notice, we will not be able to stop there in the near future.(b)
