Day 1

WELCOME TO ITALY.

You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2

Rome

This morning you will take a walking tour of Rome. Visit the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Pizza Navona.  Don’t forget to throw a coin at the Trevi Fountain to ensure your return to Rome.

You can join an OPTIONALl tour in the afternoon of Ancient Rome that stops at the Colosseum.

Tonight enjoy a dinner at a restaurant renowned for its pasta. (b,d)

Day 3

Rome/Spoleto (Umbria)

Morning transfer to the train station on your own (train ticket and reservation will be provided) to Spoleto in Umbria.

You will be met at the train station and transferred to your hotel.

You will have a welcome drink and a short presentation on your cooking class. Enjoy a special dinner (b,d)

Day 4

Spoleto

After buffet breakfast you will be introduced to the classic Umbrian cuisine with a cooking class held by the chef.

 Lunch tasting of cooked meals.

In the afternoon  the emphasis will be on pasta, such as strangozzi (home made pasta) with truffle sauce, gnocchi and many more.  Enjoy a special dinner celebrating your graduation at the San Lorenzo restaurant. (b,l,d)

Day 5

Spoleto

Today will be dedicated to the visit, tasting and shopping of the best Umbrian gastronomy products. An English speaking guide will escort you to discover old olive oil farms and tasting the Sangrantino di Montefalco red wine, visiting a beautiful winery.

After lunch, return to your hotel. (b,l)

Day 6

Spoleto/Tuscany

Transfer to Spoleto train station for your train to Florence and Valdarno. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. (b)

Day 7

Tuscany

Enjoy a free day short trip to Florence and visit on your own this Renaissance city.  You may wish to take a OPTIONAL local tour which visits the Duomo, Baptistery, Ponte Vecchio, Giotto’s Bell Tower and many other highlights of Florence, or just relax at the large pool at the hotel.

Farewell dinner at the hotel to enjoy the local cuisine. (b,d)
