Day 2

beirut/Baalbeck/Beirut

Departure from Beirut. Stop in Chtaura in the fertile Beqaa valley.

Visit of Ksara Caves and Baalbeck Temples.

Lunch in Anjar then visit of the town.

Anjar also stands unique as the only historic example of an inland commercial center. The city benefited from its strategic position on intersecting trade routes leading to Damascus, Homs, Baalbeck and to the South

Return back to Beirut.(b,l)

Day 3

Departure from Beirut. Stop in Kousba. Visit of Saint Qozhaya Monastery.

Visit of Jibran Khalil and Jibran Museum.  Proceed to the Cedars Forest.

After lunch, return back to Beirut. (b,l)

Day 4

Departure Beirut to Damascus.  (approximately 60 miles)

Dinner at the hotel.(b,d)

   Overnight CARLTON HOTEL, Damascus

Day 5

Full day visit of Damascus including the National Museum, the Omayyad Mosque, and the Azem Palace.

After lunch, visit Straight Street, the Chapel of St. Ananias, the Window of St. Paul and stroll in souk.  

Dinner at hotel (b,l,d)

   Overnight CARLTON HOTEL, Damascus

Day 6

Visit of Palmyra including  the Arch of Triumph, the Great Colonnade, the Agora, and the theater.

After lunch visit the Temple of Bel and the Regional Museum.

Return in the late afternoon to Damascus. Dinner at hotel (b,l,d)
