Day 1 Sunday -  Arrive Casablanca     WELCOME TO MOROCCO !!!
Upon arrival at Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport, and after custom and immigration formalities, our local representative will meet you outside the baggage claim area.

Brief “panorama” tour of Casablanca, driving along the wide boulevards, United Nations Square, the Royal Palace, and viewing the magnificent Mosque of Hassan II, (the second-largest religious edifice in the world after Mecca). 

Depart for Rabat.  Afternoon at leisure.(d)
     Overnight RIVE HOTEL, Rabat

Day 2 Monday - Rabat/Fes
Your morning sightseeing of Rabat will include the Kasbah of the Oudays, Hassan Tower and the walls of the Mechouar, which surround the Royal Palace.  Drive to Meknes.  On the way visit Moulay Idriss, a sacred Islamic town and also the Roman ruins of Volubilis.

Afternoon visit of Meknes the “Moroccan Versailles”, a town founded in the 17th century by the King Mulay Ismail.

Day 3 Tuesday - Fes
Fes is the oldest of the Imperial cities and renowned for its spiritual and educational contribution to Morocco culture.  Visit the Medina religious Islamic Universities, the Karaouine Mosque and the Nejjarine fountain.

Afternoon sightseeing of the famous thousand-year-old medina and the souks where craftsman still labor as they have for centuries. (b,d)

Day 4 Wednesday - Fes /Erfoud
Depart for Erfoud via the middle Atlas mountains, passing Ifrane and Azrou, an important handicraft center.  Arrive Midelt.

Continue to Erfoud a small towns surrounded by some of the best scenery in Morocco.  (b,d)

Day 5 Thursday - Erfoud/Merzouga
Morning at leisure.

Afternoon excursion to Rissani the capital of the Tafilalet.  Visit the 17th century kasbah and the the imposing ruins of Ksar Abbar. Excursion to Merzouga for sunset.

Transfer via a 4-wheel drive vehicle and proceed to the Sahara Desert.  After a short drive, you will reach the sand dunes of Merzouga.  Camels will be waiting for you.Then begins a magical tour of the most beautiful dunes in Morocco watching the sunset A bivouac will be set up for you.  This is a large nomadic tent.  On the ground are carpets, comfortable mattresses, pillows, and a table with stools.  Available are chemical WC portable toilets with toilet paper and a solar shower with soap.  A wood fire will be built where the traditional Bedouin bread and dinner will be prepared. (b,d)          Overnight BIVOUAC, Merzouga

Description of Bivouac.  On arrival at the camp, you would be greeted in a big nomadic tent (made with camel hair). On the ground: Carpets, tables and traditional chairs and lamps.

Light: Burning wood fire, storm lanterns and a light generator for the whole camp

Dinner: Meals are served on a round table for 6 to 8 passengers.

Sample of menu served during a seated bivouac dinner:  Variety of Moroccan salads, tagine with chicken, lemon and olives, tagine with beef and prunes, kebab, seasonal fruits, mint tea and Moroccan pastries

Sanitary: Chemical toilets, toilets paper and soap, hot water, mirrors.

Day 6 Friday - Merzouga/Ouarzazate
After breakfast, return to Erfoud and continue to Ouarzazate through the Dades Valley and Tinghir, also known as the road of 1000 kasbahs.  Proceed to the Todra Canyons where part of the film Lawrence of Arabia was filmed.  Continue through the Kelaa M'gouna, known as the Rose Valley for its production of rose water and the colorful festival held there every May.

Day 7 Saturday - Ouarzazate
Day at leisure in Ouarzazate
OPTIONAL excursion to Zagora.  Travel south of Ouarzazate for a whole day through the Draa Valley andthe village of Amzrou, an old Jewish village.  Visit M'Hamid the last settlement before the Sahara.  Return to Ouarzazate with a stop at Tinfoufor relaxing and walking in the sand dunes attending the sunset.  (b,d)      
     Overnight  KARAM PALACE HOTEL, Ouarzazate

Day 8 Sunday - Ouarzazate/Marrakech
Visit of Ouarzazate including Tiffeltout and Taourirt kasbahs. Travel through the majestic beauty of the High Atlas.  Visit theAit Benhaddou Kasbah.

Remainder of the day, journey over 7,000 feet through   the Tizi n' Tichka pass. Arrive Marrakech. (b,d)

Day 9 Monday - Marrakech
Marrakech is “The Pearl of the South” and was founded by   the dynasty of the Almoravides.  Visit the Menara and Agdal Gardens, the Dar Si Sa'id Museum of Moroccan Arts, and the Saadian Tombs, where you will see the countries finest stone and mosaic work.  Proceed to the Koutoubia with its patterns of classical Moroccan architecture, and the Bahia Palace.

In the afternoon, discover the souks of Marrakech and the famous square of Djemaa El Fna, the center of life in   Marrakech. It is a public theater and fascinating center where the entertainment never ceases. (b,d)

Day 10 Tuesday - Marrakech
At leisure in Marrakech.
OPTIONAL Half-day trip south of Marrakech takes you to Ourika Valley. Travel through the fertile plains of   Haouz.  Observe the Berber souk held for local inhabitants of the area to perform traditional trading.  Continue along the rivers meandering at the foot of the mountains.  See the typical hamlets of basket clay and stones.  Ourika is famous for its pottery.  Return to Marrakech.

Day 12 Thursday - Marrakech/Essaouira
Depart Marrakech and travel to Essaouira.  Also known as Old Mogador, this Atlantic coastal village is a large fishing port founded by Romans and inhabited by the Portuguese.  The harbor area has many fine examples of both Moorish and Portuguese art.  Essaouira is one of the most important and oldest fishing ports in Morocco. It is famous for local wood handicrafts.  The city bastions and ramparts served as the location for the Orson Wells film version of Othello. (b,d)
     Overnight DE ILES HOTEL, Essaouira

Day 13 Friday - Essaouira/Casablanca
Depart to Safi. Visit the Portuguese Sea-Castle, the pottery hill and continuation to Oualidia famous for its oyster farming.

Afternoon proceed via El Jadida to Casablanca. (b,d)

Day 14 Saturday - Casablanca
Transfer to the Casablanca airport for your departure.  (b)
