Palermo/ Cefalu / Capo d’Orlando/

Taormina/Catania

After a buffet breakfast, drive along the Thyrrenian coast towards Cefalù, a pleasant resort well known for its beautiful Norman Cathedral and medieval wash-house built in the rock. Continue to Capo D'Orlando.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch continue to Taormina, called the pearl of the Ionic sea. Proceed to Catania. (b,l,d)

Monday 

After a buffet breakfast, depart (weather permitting) for an excursion to Mt. Etna.

Lunch in a farmhouse on the slopes of Etna with wine tasting.  Return to Catania. Walking tour of the city. (b,l,d)

Tuesday

After a buffet breakfast, depart to Siracusa to visit the most beautiful Greek colony of Sicily.  Visit the Latomie of the Paradise and the Dyonisios “Ear” as well as visit of the island of Ortigia, singular treasure of the baroque style.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Proceed to Noto the baroque style city declared a World Heritage City by Unesco.  Depart to Ragusa, whose historical centre “Ibla” is one of the most important testimony of the Baroque architecture. 

Enjoy an aperitif in a nice bar in the main square of the Dome.(b,l,d)

   Overnight Mediterraneo Palace, Ragusa

Wednesday

Depart to Modica a late baroque city rich of important churches. Stop at a chocolate shop to have a taste of the famous Modica chocolate.   Depart to Piazza Armerina and visit Villa Romana del Casale famous for its preserved mosaics.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, proceed to Agrigento and visit of the Valley of the Temples including the Temple of Juno, Concord, Heracles, Zeus, Castor and Pollux.

After dinner enjoy an unforgettable illuminated panoramic tour of the Valley of the Temple. (b,l,d)

Thursday

Agrigento/Selinunte/Segesta/

Depart to the archaeological park of Selinunte.  Stop at a local farmhouse famous for olive oil production.  Have a wine and oil tastings.

Lunch at the farmhouse.

Depart towards Segesta to visit the Doric Temple which keeps in its stone the weight of a long history, surrounded by a unique landscape. (b,l,d)

Palermo/Monreale/Palermo

Visit the Duomo (Cathedral) and the Palatine Chapel in the Royal Palace. Proceed to Monreale and visit the Benedictine Cloister which is in pure Norman style. (b,l,d)
