Day 1   Friday   Istanbul
Arrive Istanbul      WELCOME TO TURKEY !!!
You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2   Saturday   Istanbul
In the morning visit Topkapi Palace which served as the home of Ottoman Sultans for 400 years, the Blue Mosque which has six minarets and a middle dome of 109 feet.  Proceed to St Sophia , an originally Christian basilica, a museum for all regardless of creed.  
(Renovations of the Blue Mosque are underway and due to be completed by 2020.)

Before returning to your hotel visit the Grand Covered Bazaar dating back to XVth century.  It covers over 2,000 shops. (b)

Day 3   Sunday   Istanbul/Cappadocia
After breakfast, depart for Ankara where you will visit Mausoleum of Ataturk and its Museum. This is the burial place of the national hero who founded modern Republic of Turkey.  

Depart for Cappadocia. After a picturesque trip along the Salt Lake, arrive in Cappadocia for an overnight stay  (b,d)

Day 4   Monday   Cappadocia
After breakfast proceed to Kaymakli Underground City; carved out of rock and completely self contained. More than 200 people lived on each of seven floors with the last one 250 feet underground sightseeing in this unique corner of the world.   Göreme Open-air Museum is full of pink, rose and white tapering columns. These tall free standing cones of stone curve and twist as if pulled from earth like taffy. Others are tall like fairy chimneys. The caves were settled in the 4th century as monasteries.

Lunch in a cave restaurant to taste famous pottery Kebap. Here you will have the opportunity to discover and understand the rich history behind local handicrafts like hand-made carpets, Turkish tiles onyx and potteries. (b,l)

Day 5   Tuesday   Cappadocia/Pamukkale
Drive to Pamukkale, the cotton fortress, which rises above the fertile Menderes Valley. Hot mineral waters burst from the earth and cascade over steep cliffs forming pools, channels and stalactites. The therapeutic waters here were known to founders of the curecity of Hierapolis in 190 B.C.  Visit the 13th century Seljukian masterpiece, Sultanhan Caravanserai before arriving in Konya to visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana. Day 6   Wednesday   Pamukkale/Izmir
Stroll through the ruins of ancient Hierapolis, the Roman city, and transfer to Kusadasi. Continue to Selcuk to visit the Temple of Artemis “one of the seven wonders of the ancient world”.  (b,d)

Day 7   Thursday   Izmir
After breakfast begin a full day of sightseeing. Visit the ruins of Ephesus, which played a major role in the development of architecture, religions, governmental and economic systems and arts.  The temple of Artemis was one of the Seven Wonders of ancient world and center of pagan religion for 15 centuries.  Here Marc Anthony and Cleopatra once rode in procession.   Continue to marvelous village of Sirince   (b,l,d)

Day 8   Friday   Izmir/Pergamum/Troy/Canakkale
In the morning visit Bergama (ancient Pergamum) where parchment was invented. This was also the hometown of Galen, renowned doctor and surgeon and site of his temple devoted to healing, the Asclepion. The library once held 200,000 books; all parchment. In the afternoon drive to Troy, the immortal city of the legendary Helen of Troy and Trojan Horse, was destroyed and rebuilt nine times. Drive to Canakkale. (b,d)

Day 9   Saturday   Canakkale/Gallipoli/Istanbul
In the morning cross the Dardanelles Strait, then continue to Gallipoli to visit Anzac Cove, Nek, Conk Bair, Lone Pine and 57th regiment memorial and the war museum.  (b)

Day 10   Sunday Istanbul
Transfer to the Istanbul airport.
