In the morning visit Suleymaniye Mosque, Byzantine Hippodrome, in which stands the obelisk brought by Egypt by Theodosius and the Bronze Serpent Column taken from Delphi by Constantine. Visit the Blue Mosque with its six minarets originally Christian Basilica.

In the afternoon visit Topkapi Palace which served as a museum with exquisite collections of Chinese porcelain and Ottoman treasury. Before returning to your hotel, visit Grand Covered Bazaar, which dates back to XVth Century. It covers over 2000 shops. (b,l)

After breakfast at the hotel, departure for a tour to south of Amman to visit Madaba and Mount Nebo the highest in the Moabit range which has been a center for pilgrimages since earliest Christian times.   Here you will see some of the finest  Byzantine mosaics in the world including the famous 6th century mosaic map of Palestine. Drive to the all inspiring Wadi Mujib along the Moabit Ridge to Kerak castle which was built in the 12th century,

Travel to Petra over the desert highway to see the "Rose-Red City" half as old as time.  The three-hour journey allows you to experience a fascinating adventure.  Director Steven Spielberg used the ruins’ most striking buildings, as a backdrop in his film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.  (b)

After breakfast begin a full day tour of Petra.  Begin an unbelievable trip to visit the Siq, and proceed thru the heart of the city to the Treasury where you will be given a brief history of the city.  The Nabateans carved this capital from the living rock over 2,000 years ago. Among other monuments are Pharaoh's Castle, Triumphal Arch, amphitheater and Monastery.
