Day 1

Arrive Dubai

WELCOME !!!   You will be met airport and transferred to your hotel.

     Overnight RIVIERA DEIRA HOTEL, Dubai

 Day 2

Morning at leisure.

Pick up at 3.00pm to begin desert Safari.

The afternoon highlight of any visit to Dubai is undoubtedly this amazing tour. Board your luxury 4X4 in Dubai and head out towards the desert. At the entrance of the desert your driver deflates the wheels of the 4X4 and then the fun starts. Dune bashing has become known as a fun experience – you will feel the thrill of desert driving as your professional driver takes you up and down on golden dunes.

A beautiful desert sunset stop is also included and then head out to the Bedouin Camp. You are greeted with a traditional cup of Arabic coffee and have the opportunity to try riding a camel before it is time to settle down for your barbeque dinner prepared on open fires in front of you. Later on in the evening a belly dancer will enchant you with her dances, a truly magical night! (b,d)

 Day 3

At 10.00 a.m. depart Dubai (via Sharjah and Ras al Khaimah).

On the way to Khasab, the drive itself is part of the holiday experience as it crosses through and over the mountains along the breathtaking coastal road and many original Bedouin villages can be seen on the way. After arrival, meet and greet at Golden Tulip Resort and check in hotel.

At 2.00pm, drive through the town of Khasab with its old and new souk.

Visit the restored Fort of Khasab, traditional Musandam boats and houses are on

Display in the fort’s courtyard. Drive to the Wadi Qadah with the old village Tawi and see the prehistoric rock carvings.(b)

 Day 4

After breakfast, at 10.00 am begin full day Dhow Cruise to Khor Sham in azure waters through a majestic 16 km fjord (Khor), surrounded by spectacular mountains and serene remote white sand beaches. At the entrance of the fjord our guests can enjoy dolphin watching. The Dhow will anchor at various places during the cruise for swimming and snorkeling in pristine waters teaming with friendly colorful fish.

Enjoy soft drinks, fruit and lunch during the day. All snorkeling equipment is included. Return to hotel. (b,l)

 Day 5

Transfer to Khasab Airport for the Flight to Muscat.

Arrival at Muscat airport from Khasab at 1.30pm. Meet and assist and proceed for a Muscat City Tour.

We will see the old city of Muscat and catch a glimpse of the old town through the eyes of bygone travelers who left their marks and images, collected and on display at the fine galleries and museums (Bait Al Zubair) in the heart of the Old Quarter.  We take a photo stop at the Sultan’s Palace flanked by the 16^th Century Portuguese forts of Jalali and Mirani. Proceed to the hotel. (b)

 Day 6

After breakfast we will seek out the Palaces of yesteryear from which sovereign Lords surveyed their Kingdom at Nizwa.  Travel via Fanjah where we take a photo stop to have a glimpse of an ancient and abandoned village.  Pass through the Sumail Gap. At 170 kms, you reach Nizwa, the old capital of Oman. 

Visit the big round fort of the Yaruba dynasty.  Take a stroll down town.  The town is still a bustling centre for crafts and the silver souq is the best in Oman.  Feel free to mingle with the crowd and let the Omani ambience take hold of you.

Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon we stop at Tanuf on our way to Bahla.  Walk amongst the ruins of Tanuf and study the use of loam with which the town was built.  Tanuf is famous for its mineral water springs.  Further on is Bahla, the oldest recorded region of civilization in Oman.  There is a huge loam fort, which is at present under renovation.  Because of its cultural importance, the town is listed in UNESCO’s list of heritage monuments.  Bahla is also known as the pottery capital of Oman.  From here it is a short distance to the mighty bastion of Jabrin and the crown seat of the Yaruba Dynasty.  Return to Muscat. After breakfast, transfer to Muscat airport for your flight to Dubai. (b)
