Itinerary:
Day 1: Thursday, Arrive Dubrovnik
You will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day
is at leisure until you gather with your Tour Director and fellow
travelers for a Welcome reception at your hotel. (WR)
Day 2: Friday, DUBROVNIK
This morning, enjoy a guided walking tour of Old Dubrovnik,
including the Rector's Palace, the Bell Tower Clock, Orlando's
Column, Sponza Palace, the Dominican Monastery, and the
Franciscan Monastery, home to one of the oldest pharmacies in
the world. The afternoon is free for leisure. (B)
Optional Excursion: Home-hosted dinner with the Dubelj family.
Day 3: Saturday, to SPLIT
Travel north along the spectacular Adriatic coast, passing old
fishing villages and modern resorts, en route to Split. (B, D)
Day 4: Sunday, in SPLIT
In the morning, take a sightseeing tour of the historic inner city,
built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a
UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover Roman, Renaissance,
and Gothic landmarks, including Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle,
and the Cathedral. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Split
or relax at the beach. (B)
Optional Excursion: Visit the jet-set island of Hvar, a favorite
among the rich and famous.
Day 9: Monday, to TROGIR and PLITVICE LAKES
After breakfast, head to Trogir, a hub of artistic and cultural
activity. Then travel inland to Plitvice Lakes National Park.
Enjoy a walking tour of the lower lakes and take in the park’s
stunning natural beauty—sixteen terraced lakes connected by
cascading waterfalls and surrounded by lush forests. (B, D)
Day 10: Saturday, Depart Zagreb
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Zagreb airport for your
departure flight. (B)
NOTE: Because of the narrow and cobbled streets, walking is the
primary way of getting around. Please make sure you pack
comfortable walking shoes
